When the story begins, Princess Bean is living on a shelf in the public library inside her own book, where no
one doubts that she is a princess of the "highest kind." But being the adventurer she is, Princess Bean jumps into

the job of beating the Dark Storm is too big for one person – even one as confident as Princess Bean – but
Princess Bean ignores their advice and keeps on going.
Lost in space and almost having ruined Captain Super’s story, Princess Bean realizes that her actions effect
the world around her and that sometimes her way is not the best way. In the end, she helps to repair Captain
Super’s story and, in the process, discovers what is means to be a true hero.
